AFCC 63rd Annual Conference in Seattle, Washington
This year’s theme is What Lies Beneath, Hidden Forces Shaping Families in Transition. Family transitions are never about logistics alone. Beneath the surface, underlying forces shape the experience: cultural expectations, psychological wounds, and unconscious motivations. Family law professionals must deepen understanding of these hidden layers to serve families more justly, with compassion and integrity.
There are nearly 90 Conference presentations, including pre-conference institutes, workshops, the keynote, and plenary. They provide opportunities to acquire practical tools and learn effective strategies to help families reach creative, workable, forward-thinking solutions.
James Kimmel, Jr., JD, Yale School of Medicine, is the keynote speaker, discussing The Science of Revenge and Forgiveness: Using Neuroscience to Resolve Family Conflicts.
