CDFA® Mediation Course

40-Hour Mediation Training for CDFAs® (Certificate Program)

This immersive, live virtual mediation course is designed for professionals seeking practical, real-world mediation skills they can apply immediately. Taught by Kristine Reich—an experienced law professor who has led mediation courses nationwide—this 40-hour program combines academic rigor with hands-on skill development.

Delivered in a two-week intensive format, the course includes live instruction on Mondays and Tuesdays, along with half-day sessions on Wednesdays during both weeks. Participants engage in structured role-play exercises, guided feedback, and interactive discussions that reflect the realities of divorce and family law mediation.

To preserve the quality of instruction and ensure meaningful participation, enrollment is strictly limited to 24 participants. This small-group format allows for individualized feedback, deeper engagement, and a more impactful learning experience.

While designed with Certified Divorce Financial Analysts® (CDFAs®) in mind, CDFA certification is not required to enroll. Financial professionals, legal professionals, and other divorce-related practitioners seeking mediation training are encouraged to participate.

Course Highlights

  • Live, instructor-led virtual training
  • Extensive, structured mediation role-play
