Eldering: Family-Focused Practice through a Multigenerational Lens
Linda Fieldstone, MEd., Sue Bronson, LCSW, and April Harris Britt, Ph.D.
What if aging was viewed as a family journey, rather than just an individual experience? This webinar explores eldering. Aging is a process relationships across generations shape. From caregiving and decision-making to the evolving bonds and interdependencies between grandparents, parents, adult children, and grandchildren, eldering highlights interconnected family life. Using examples of relationships with grandparents, participants will discover how a family-focused, multigenerational perspective can promote dignity, autonomy, belonging, and well-being while helping families navigate change, strengthen relationships, and address conflict more effectively.
